  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the raw honey and lemon juice until well combined.
  2. If desired, add in the extra-virgin olive oil and mix well.
  3. Apply the mixture to your face, using clean fingertips or a brush, and massage it gently into your skin in circular motions.
  4. Let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Rinse the mask off with warm water and pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Benefits of honey lemon face mask for skin:

  • Honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe and heal acne-prone skin, reduce redness, and promote a healthy complexion.
  • Lemon juice contains vitamin C, which can help brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
  • Olive oil is a rich source of antioxidants and healthy fats that can help moisturize and nourish the skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Note: If you have sensitive skin, be cautious when using lemon juice as it can cause irritation or redness. You can either reduce the amount of lemon juice in the recipe or skip it altogether. Additionally, it's always a good idea to do a patch test on a small area of your skin before applying the mask to your entire face.

How to use the homemade lemon honey face mask

  1. Wash your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser, and pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. You can also add a teaspoon of olive oil for added moisturization if desired.
  3. Using clean fingers or a brush, apply the mixture evenly onto your face, avoiding the eye area.
  4. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes. You may feel a slight tingling or tightening sensation as the mask dries.
  5. Rinse off the mask with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  6. Follow up with your usual skincare routine, such as applying moisturizer.

Note: If you have sensitive skin, do a patch test on a small area of your skin before applying the mask to your entire face to make sure you do not have an adverse reaction to the lemon juice. Also, avoid exposure to sunlight immediately after using a lemon juice face mask as it can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.
